BRYC Sailing Schedule

Hi Skippers, Following this afternoons announcement by the Government that Norfolk has been put into Tier 4 as from 00.01 on Boxing Day
************ All sailing is cancelled until further notice ************
This also applies to the planned events at Norwich as well. I think most of us were expecting a tighten of restrictions in the new year but things have moved on at a pace thus forcing these changes a lot sooner than expected. I will of course keep you all posted as and when the situation changes.

All the events marked in red are all part of a series of heats for the Buxton Trophy which will be awarded to the BRYC helm with the best overall results after the four events (one discard will be allowed).
For the Two IOM race days the "Norfolk Trophy" will be award to the winner after taking the results from both days into consideration.
The Two Winds Trophy will be award to the best RM helm after the 2 events, be they from either BRYC or NMBC. January's sailing will also be low key series with a small prize up for grabs in the IOM fleet.
Both the 6M & RM January dates will also be low key days sailing with a small prize also to be won on each day.
Also please note that as it stands at present the restaurant will not be open during January so there will be no facilities available on site for those race days. If this changes I will of course keep you posted. Whilst the restaurant is not open, we will be allowed to bring our own refreshments.
Note: Re Norwich Mini Regatta: The event will be restricted to 13 competitors in conjunction with the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the the MYA & RYA. Event will start at 10.00 am prompt. Entry fee of £5.00 will go towards a Bottle of Sprits to be raffled and wine to the winners. Mince pies and mulled wine will be served during the break. Entries will only be accepted by e-mail, stating club, boat no and next of kin contact details. Entries will not be taken on the day or by word of mouth. Entries will be on a first come first served basis, so if you want to attend get your entries in early please.

Due to LOCKDOWN 2 all sailing is cancelled until further notice. I am hopeful that we can get back on the water early in December and as when we get the nod from Boris and his chums I will issue a new schedule. In the meantime stay safe. Regards, Nigel
